There is Beaujolais and then there is Beaujolais this is very much in the second camp. More robust and verging on full bodied this is almost Burgundian forget Nouveau this is a much more grown-up wine. Still light and quaffable but more earthy and plummy than the classic floral style of many Beaujolais and all the better for it.
