1. Ordering

  1. Age Restriction: We only sell and deliver alcohol to individuals who are 18 years or older. When placing an order, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old. If we have doubts about your age, we reserve the right not to deliver.
  2. Product Availability: If a product becomes unavailable after you've placed an order, we'll get in touch to discuss a replacement or alternative arrangements.
  3. Order Confirmation: Your order on our website isn't a contract until we accept it and process payment. We reserve the right not to accept an order.
  4. Availability: All our products are subject to availability.
  5. Uncollected Orders: If an order remains uncollected from Ake & Humphris Wine Merchants after 90 days, we'll issue a refund unless we've agreed on a different arrangement with you.

2. Delivery

  1. Delivery Timeframe: During the checkout process, we'll confirm the delivery window. While we strive to meet this timeframe, we can't be held responsible for delays due to circumstances which we consider to be beyond our control.
  2. Redelivery Cost: If multiple unsuccessful delivery attempts require redelivery, we may charge for this service.
  3. Delivery Charges: Standard delivery within Mainland UK costs £12.99. Additional charges apply for deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, and Scottish Islands.


3. Prices

  1. Inclusive Pricing: All prices listed include UK VAT.
  2. Pricing Accuracy: While we strive for accurate pricing, occasional errors may occur. If we discover a pricing error, we'll contact you to confirm if you wish to proceed with the corrected price or cancel your order.
  3. Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, product specifications, and goods at our discretion before accepting your order.


4. Returns and Damaged Goods

  1. Faulty Products: We'll provide a full refund or replacement for faulty products, preserving your statutory rights.
  2. Returning Faulty Bottles: We may ask you to return faulty bottles and we will arrange this with you.
  3. Damage During Transport: If your order arrives damaged, report it to us as soon as possible and not later than 48 hours after delivery along with photographic evidence and a description to allow us to assess whether a refund is due.


5. Complaints

  1. Complaint Procedure: If you have a complaint, email us at drink@akeandhumphris.co.uk with details. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to provide a resolution within five working days. We'll keep you informed of any delays.


6. Crime Prevention

  1. Information Sharing: To prevent or detect offenses, we may share any information we collect with law enforcement or relevant agencies, complying with applicable laws. Information shared in this way will not be used for marketing purposes.


7. Reviews, Comments, and Content

  1. User Content: You can post reviews, comments, and other content on our website, but please ensure that it is legal, respectful, and not harmful to others. Do not share content that contains viruses, solicitation, or offensive material.
