We are big fans of South America which somehow produces wines with at sensible prices that offer real interest. This Carmenere is a lot of wine for the money. Deceptively simple big juicy fruit driven wine that slowly reveals a note of wild leafy complexity and a whiff of silky chocolate. This is a great choice with beef ribs and chargrilled lamb.
