This first edition numbered release whisky is the first ever whisky to be produced in the Yorkshire Dales. This comes from a well established family run distillery built on Harewell House Farm in Nidderdale. Traditional copper pot stills are used with barley grown and malted in Yorkshire. Harewell spring water and yeast.
Grown up, commanding and individual. This is a wonderfully engaging, well made whisky becoming rounded and smooth with a tiny splash of water. Expect aromas of cereal, heather, florals and truffle. The palate is reminiscent of honey, sugar puffs, fennel, truffle oil, clove and violet. The effect of the barrel aging is minimal, simply acting as a frame for the primary spirit which is full of vigour and complexity.
The distilled spirit is matured on the farm in individually selected, premium casks and bottled there to create the ultimate whisky with true authenticity and provenance.
